The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge is one of the great outdoor walking challenges in the country, attempting to walk over Pen Y Ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside in 12 hours.
The walk is some 24 miles long and involves over 5000' of ascent. Harder or easier than the National 3 Peaks? Hard to say. Some say yes, some say no. Either way, a good level of fitness is required but not necessarily a great deal of hillwalking experience.
You'll need suitable footwear, clothing to keep you warm and dry and a small rucksack to carry a few extra bits and pieces as well as plenty of food and water.
Trips can run with a minimum group size of 2 people.
