The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge is one of the great outdoor walking challenges in the country, attempting to walk over Pen Y Ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside in 12 hours.
The walk is some 24 miles long and involves over 5000' of ascent. Harder or easier than the National 3 Peaks? Hard to say. Some say yes, some say no. Either way, a good level of fitness is required but not necessarily a great deal of hillwalking experience.
You'll need suitable footwear, clothing to keep you warm and dry and a small rucksack to carry a few extra bits and pieces as well as plenty of food and water.
** Next Yorkshire 3 Peaks, 11 May 2019 and 18 May 2019 - Overnight Walks **
How about something a little different. The Yorkshire 3 Peaks through the night. We'll start between 7 and 8 pm and in a 12 hour walk there will only be 5 to 7 hours of darkness - and with the luck of a clear night torches might not actually be needed for some of the night section. Escape the crowds and we'll then head straight into a cafe for breakfast. Head torches provided. ₤45 per person. Please enquire if interested.
The price of this trip will vary depending on exact options chosen.
